Greedy cat causes accident
A hungry cat only wanted a bite of its master’s dried fish, a popular Icelandic snack, but ended up overturning his car.

The cat’s owner was driving through Vatnsskard, near Blönduós in northwest Iceland, last weekend when he suddenly had the urge for dried fish. Fréttabladid reports.

As he started feasting upon the delicacy he neglected to share a bite with his cat, which was loose in the back seat.

To claim its share of the fish snack, the cat jumped into its master’s lap. The man was so startled by this that he lost control of his car, which darted off the road and overturned.

The car was wrecked but both driver and cat were uninjured. The latter of the two disappeared after the accident and has still not returned to its owner.

Police in Blönduós says the incident stresses the importance of caging pets while driving
